1. INTRODUCTION
This cookie policy refers exclusively to the Websites www.kora.ua и www.kora-knitwear.com (“Website”) and must be understood as an integral part of its Privacy Policy.
This Cookie Policy may be subject to changes, also as a consequence of possible regulatory amendments and/or integrations. In any case, changes will be notified in advance and the user can always consult the text of this Cookie Policy constantly updated on the Site, as well as view any relevant information in the Privacy Police available on the Website.
2. Definitions, characteristics and application of legislation.
Cookies are small text files (strings) that the websites visited by the user send and store on user’s terminal (e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet), which are then transmitted back to the same websites at the next visit. Thanks to cookies, a website remembers the user’s actions and preferences (such as login info, the chosen language, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be specified again when the user goes back to that website or browses from one of its pages to another. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, monitor sessions and store information regarding the activities you carry out when accessing a site and may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking your browsing within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.
The term Cookies also applies to the use of pixels, HTML5 (local storage) and other trackers and identifiers, in other words, techniques used to combine information that help us identify your device.
The use of cookies offers several advantages when providing information society services, including:
- • facilitating the user’s browsing on the Site and access to the multiple services offered;
- • avoiding the need for the user to set up the general characteristics each time he/she accesses the Site;
- • promoting the improvement of the services provided through the Site, as a result of the corresponding analysis of the information obtained through the cookies installed;
- • fostering personalized commercial initiatives based on the choices made by the user.
3. Types of cookies used by the Website:
Based on who manages cookies:
- • first party cookies: these are cookies installed directly by the Data Controller (or processors acting on its behalf) through the Site. The Data Controller processes the data collected from the first party cookies for its own purposes, regardless of whether it programmed the cookie itself or has implemented the cookie of another legal entity (see the list of processors which cookies are used on the Site here);
- • third party cookies: these are cookies installed through the Site by third parties other than KORA and processed by such third-parties for purposes they solely determine. In particular, such cookies are controlled in their entirety by the relevant third party as set out in their respective privacy and cookie policies. Third parties use the cookies to track user behavior on the Site and across other third-party websites (especially for user-specific advertising). For the full list of third-party partners that use third-party cookies on the Site, and more information on the purpose of such cookies and settings to accept or refuse such cookies, please refer to their privacy policy by clicking here; Below are links to the respective policies on the use of cookies and consent forms:

- Microsoft Bing: https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/third-party-ads?scrolltonewtoggle=true&lang=en-US;
- Meta: https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy;
Based on the time they remain enabled:
- • Session cookies: these cookies store the necessary information during the browsing session and are deleted immediately after the session expires, i.e. when the browser is closed; ;
- • Persistent cookies: these cookies are stored on the user’s hard disk and the Website reads them each time the user visits the Website. A persistent cookie has a specific expiry date, after which it will stop working;
Based on the purpose:
- • Technical cookies,
- • Function cookies,
- • Analytical/statistical cookies
- • Profiling cookies.
Under current law, the use of cookies does not always require the user’s express consent.
- • In particular, technical cookies do not require such consent. Technical cookies are technically strictly necessary for the functioning of the Website, browsing, navigation or for performing the actions requested by the user and cannot be disabled. These files are used solely for the purpose of allowing communications over an electronic network or when strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user and do not store any personalized information. Technical cookies that do not require explicit consent for their use include the following first-party and third-party cookies:
- – browsing or session cookies that guarantee normal browsing and use of the Website (allowing, for example, to make purchases, use the requested content or a or authenticating access to restricted areas) or that keep track of the display of the cookie banner and the user’s choices with respect to the use of cookies. Usually these browser cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser.
- – other analytical/statistical files used to collect information, with IP masking, on how users visit the Website and track traffic to and from the Website for purposes functional to its operation. The information collected by these cookies is processed in aggregate form in order to minimize the processing of your data and thus avoid your identifying you directly and uniquely. In the case of third-party analytical cookies, the third party may reserve the right to use the information about you collected by these cookies and combine it with other information available to it.
- • Functional cookies enable certain specific functions and services of the Website and allow the user to browse according to a series of criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service you have requested. We use these cookies if you give us your consent and activate this category. Without these cookies, some services or functions of the Website could not be provided or work correctly, and browsing the Site would not be simple and functional. These are persistent cookies that remain on the computer used even after closing the browser until the expiration date specified for each cookie (usually from two months to two years) or until the user deletes them.
- • First- and third-party analytical/statistical cookies or other identifiers are used to obtain statistical information, in an aggregate manner or not, without IP masking on the number of users accessing the Website and about how the Website is used, and to track traffic to and from the Website for purposes functional to its operation.
- For this reason, analytics are also known as “performance cookies” since they assess the overall performance and liking of the Website by users. Where required by the applicable laws, if the user does not consent to these types of cookies, the Data Controller will not be able to improve the Website based on information from the user’s visit;
- These cookies are used by the Website Operator or by third parties, who may cross-reference the information collected with other data they already have, for example for marketing. In these cases, the user’s consent is necessary.
- • First- and third-party profiling or targeting cookies are used to trace and develop the user’s profile, to observe the use of the Website and its content, to identify the user’s preferences in order to improve and personalize their browsing experience. These cookies are used to offer targeted advertising and commercial communications more relevant to the user’s interests, tastes and consumption habits consistent with the preferences expressed while browsing the web and interacting with the Website and third-party websites and/or apps. They require the user’s prior consent. If the user does not consent to these types of cookies, he/she will experience less targeted advertising (but not less advertising overall).
- These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device.
- The Website also contains Social Media Cookies, i.e. plug-ins for interaction with social networks, which allow users to share their information and contents with social networks and social network operators/managers, to identify users and to store information relating to the use of the Site in their profiles. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. We ensure that such interaction with social networks only happens at the user’s request. If you do not allow these cookies, you will not be able to use or see these sharing tools. You can find information about the data management carried out by the relevant social network at the following links:

Otherwise, the user can decide which cookies to install on the Website by clicking on the appropriate cookie management section and selecting his/her preferences
Note that by setting your browser to block strictly technical cookies may make it impossible to use the Website, view its contents and make use of its services. Blocking function cookies may result in certain services or functions of the Website not being available or not working properly, so you may need to change or manually enter certain information or preferences each time you visit. Conversely, failure to authorize other cookies, including third-party cookies, will not affect the Website’s operation.
In principle, it is possible to use the Website without cookies, but it may alter the functioning or availability of the Website. If the user wishes to make use of the full Site features, he/she should accept cookies that enable to use certain features or make it more convenient for the user to do so. Each browser’s setup is different and it is described in the “Help” menu of the browser itself.
